Julien Rappeneau's follow-up to Rosalie Blum (screened at Yamba FFF 2017) is another uplifting story that brings empathy, humour and charm to the lives of ordinary people…. a family-friendly story about the power of a child’s love, and the lengths that one boy will go to help get his father’s life back on track. When 12-year old soccer fanatic Théo is rejected by recruiters for being too small, he doesn't have the heart to let down his father, a man already struggling with retrenchment and divorce. So, he impulsively articulates a well-meaning fiction… one that quickly spirals and overtakes not just his life, but all those around him.
